Alberta:
The Mayor of Calgary has proclaimed Lymphedema Day.
British Columbia
British Columbia Lymphedema Association (BCLA) will be holdng its annual meeting on Saturday, March 5, 2011. It Lymphedema Awareness Day has been re-scheduled to June 25, 2011. For more information go to the BCLA website at: www.BCLymph.org
Saskatchewan:
The Minister of Health for Saskatchewan has proclaimed March 6/11 Lymphedema Day in Saskatchewan. As well, the Mayors of the cities of Saskatoon, Regina, and Prince Albert have proclaimed March 6/11 Lymphedema Day.
Manitoba:
42 cities, including the Province of Manitoba, have proclaimed March 6th as Lymphedema Awareness Day. 11 municipalities have not made the proclamation.
Please find below a sample proclamation request letter, developed by the BC Lymphedema Association, the LE proclamation by the Province of Manitoba and LE Day Proclamations by the cities of Vancouver and Selkirk which demonstrate how you can make a LE day happen in your community.
